In vitro release testing models for long-acting therapeutics
We develop physiologically relevant in vitro release testing (IVRT) models for subcutaneous long-acting therapeutics, combining biomimetic hydrogel matrices engineered from extracellular matrix components with controlled flow-based IVRT systems that reproduce key aspects of the subcutaneous interstitial environment and its fluid dynamics. These platforms are designed to improve in vitro-in vivo correlation, so that drug release behaviour translates more reliably. The aim is to reduce reliance on animal and clinical studies and to speed up the development and optimisation of long-acting formulations.
