Organ specific delivery of mitochondria-targeted drugs
Therapeutics that modulate mitochondrial function show potential in tackling the development of disease. However, controlling the precise location of these therapeutics in the body presents a challenge. My research focuses on developing organ specific nanocapsules to deliver mitochondrial drugs to specific cell types, thus increasing specificity of drug delivery.
