Transfection detection using vibrational spectroscopy
I work on establishing a method for transfection detection using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and optical photothermal infrared spectroscopy. My project involves developing a fixation method that preserves the cell's spectral fingerprint, then applying chemometric techniques to pull out the subtle biochemical signatures of successful transfection from infrared spectra. The goal is a label-free, quantitative method to track transfection efficiency directly from the infrared spectra, without relying on fluorescent reporters.
